How to take care of ears in summers?

Taking care of your ears in the summer is important to prevent ear infections, swimmer's ear, & other ear-related problems. Here are some tips.

When you are outside, wear a wide-brimmed hat or a cap to shade your ears from the sun's harmful rays.

Protect your ears from the sun:

 After swimming or showering, make sure to dry your ears thoroughly. 

Keep Your ears clean & dry:

Swimming in polluted or untreated water can increase the risk of ear infections. If you do swim, wear earplugs to keep water out of your ears.

Avoid swimming in dirty or contaminated water:

Using cotton swabs to clean your ears can push wax deeper into your ear canal and cause damage to your eardrum. 

Don't use cotton swabs:

If you plan to attend a concert, festival or fireworks show, wear earplugs to protect your ears from the loud noises.
